Considering Who We Are

I am not sure why it is so difficult to figure out who we are.  I mean it’s us.  Yet if you are like me I have a hard time figuring out who I am.  Who am I outside of work, family, and life responsibilities?  I have been trying to answer that question for the past year and a half.  I read this quote and thought it could be a good tool to helping me, and others figure that out.

“If we consider who we are not, we may find the surprising revelation of who we are.”  (Moore)

Now that is something I can wrap my head around.  I think it’s important to figure this out so we can focus our lives on what is important, and spend our precious time developing ourselves into who we were made to be.  If we are to be creative, and impact the world with our ideas and art then we need to know who we are.  This will be the guide for everything else we do.
